A simulation-based scaled test statistic for assessing model-data fit in least-squares unrestricted factor-analysis solutions

چکیده
A shortcoming of least-squares unrestricted factor analysis (UFA) procedures, which are widely used in psychometric applications is that a test statistic for assessing model-data fit cannot be easily derived from the minimum function value. This paper proposes chi-square type goodness-of-fit intended principal-axis, MINRES, and minimum-rank UFA procedures. The empirically obtained via intensive simulation based on two-stage approach. First, distribution values scenario null hypothesis perfect holds. Second, non-linearly transformed so it has its first four moments equal to those theoretical reference with appropriate degrees freedom. Extensions basic next proposed include comparative relative indexes it. Tests close-fit power assessment also proposed.
